The Pat Starling Cup is played as a Triples tournament (3 players in a team ) over 18 ends – each of the matches is 3 blocks of 6 ends each.

Each team plays 3 other teams. The positions on the rink are picked out of a hat to avoid bias.

Pat’s husband Philip was a senior carpenter at Duckers Funeral Service. Both were very good players. Philip also helped to build the Ladies/Gentleman’s Loo. Their children, Roy and Shirley and family, attend every year to present the Pat Starling Cup.
